Help an animal get on the mend.

Sometimes the animals we rescue get sick. From minor injuries to hospitalization, every animal deserves the medical care they need. While we work with partner veterinarians for reduced fees, medical care is still incredibly expensive. The doggies and kitties appreciate your support!

Alvin

Picture
Read all about Alvin here.

Alvin was found as a stray kitty that desperately needed medical attention. He was in such bad condition, we had to have his teeth pulled. His fur was so matted he needed shaved. We had to get X-rays for him and learned he has a medical issue called Mega Colon and is now on a special diet. After being on this special diet for months with no issues, Alvin has begun using the bathroom in places he shouldn't be. We fear his organs are failing and he needs to see a vet as soon as possible.

Cost: $300
Raised: $30

Patty

Read all about Patty here.

Patty's foster mom noticed that Patty was limping so we took her in for X-Rays. We discovered that her hip was coming out of it's socket and she will most likely need a hip surgery later on in life. At only 2 years old, this can only be the work of being poorly bred by a backyard breeder. Patty will need to be on medication monthly until she gets better or until she has surgery.

Cost: $280
Raised: $30

Yogi

Read all about Yogi here.

Yogi was an owner surrender. Yogi's owner told us he was between the age of 10 and 14 and he had liver cancer. She couldn't keep him because she was moving. We took Yogi in to give him comfort in the last days of his life. After visiting the vet, doing bloodwork and X-rays, we learned Yogi is actually 5 and does not have cancer at all. Yay Yogi!

Raised: $30

Spencer

Read all about Spencer here.

Spencer was a neglected owner surrender. He is a senior pup with a very serious heart murmor. He also has an ulcer but we can't get surgery for his ulcer until we have an ultrasound done and speak to a cardiologist about Spencer's condition. Spencer is also on daily medication for his poor beagle ears.

Oscar

Read all about Oscar here.

Oscar was found eating trash in the dumpster behind WalMart. It took the combined efforts of our vet and our foster to catch the little bugger and place him into a home. Luckily, we did because he has a serious eye infection. Oscar will need to see an optometrist at MedVet and most likely have his eye removed.

Cost: $250

All of our animals are in foster homes. To give them the best care they can receive, we make sure our dogs and cats are up to date on flea and heartworm prevention every month. Our adoption fees barely cover this, as it costs us about $700 every couple of months. Because of all the medical dogs we've recently taken in, we are unable to order more medication until we can raise more funds.

Cost: $700
Raised: $10

Jack

Picture
Thanks to the family that found Jack, he got the care he needed!

Jack was just recently rescued as a stray pup. He is less than 6 months old and has already lived an awful life wandering the streets alone by himself. When he was found he was severely malnourished, emaciated and covered in fleas. We are working as fast as possible to give Jack the spoiled life every puppy deserves.

Cost: $300
Raised: $300
